When my little one’s undies are showing out of his pants I go … Nobody wants to see that.
When he picks his nose I go…  Nobody wants to see that.
When he goes streaking around the house I go… Nobody wants to see that. 
See the pattern….

When a kid in my son’s class picked his nose my son goes… Nobody wants to see that.
I almost choked to death gasping for air. While the other parent gave me a glare.  

Then my son goes…  that boy was picking his nose doesn’t he know…Nobody wants to see that?  

Nosey Neighbor

It’s hot we leave the windows open to get any breeze we can. They don’t have a/c  in this housing just ceiling fans. Found out we don’t have any privacy with the windows open. We were on the patio the other night about nine-ish finishing up a game of poker. Heard a child scream out at us to be quiet that he had to wake up at 4 am. Me feeling horrible ended the game, we called it a night. The next day I go over to apologize the lady proceeds to tell me about my private conversations I have had with my husband. I was on the verge of crying felt so violated. She then tells me… well if you have any parties invite us we would love to come. ummm is that like blackmail? Went through that day and the next thinking omg omg omg. Didn’t realize I was that loud on the phone, started using the phone after closing all doors and windows. Then found her staring out her window into my house so figured when she hears me talk either walks over to my windows or goes to her son’s bedroom and listens at the window. I thought I needed a hobby this chic needs a life. Didn’t realize I was that exciting for someone to waste their time to see what I say on the phone.  Couple days later had a poker night at my house about 16 people I am sure she hates us. But I won a 100 bucks, how cool is that?! We are slowly meeting new people, funny thing is our friends from Quantico are moving out here. Least when the husband leaves for Iraq, my old friends will keep me from driving over the edge from the neighbor.  

School has started, YAY!

Little Man has started Kindergarten, yes I was holding back the tears. He just walked in the classroom like he has been there before. He has never been to a daycare setting or preschool so I was so amazed how well he was listening and fitting in. He comes home talks all about his new friends and all the fun he had at school. 

We have been running around this month like crazy people. Went to Reno for a couple of weeks while the husband was in the middle of the mountains training. It’s been 6 years since I have lived there and actually missed it. Reno is one of those places you hate being there but when you leave you tend to miss it. Haven’t done much knitting or dyeing of yarn due to this cast. Derby is on hold till November and to be honest not sure if I will be skating this year. Maybe should give my body a rest seems like I have been hurt for 2 years in actuality I have.

I am so behind in life I feel like screaming!

Having to type with a cast on, hasn’t been the best experience. Hints why haven’t been blogging. Knitting with the cast lasted a few hours with me giving up and cursing. Rubbed my thumb raw, figured better stop before I get to bone.Now catch up… Cast is off for now currently have a brace until I get this other test that they put dye in my arm to see the fracture. They will go from there fingers crossed everything will be ok and won’t need another cast.

Totally amused….Went to Amazon to get a link of the book I recently finished Goodnight Nobody, they let you preview a portion of the book. Thinking what a clever idea you get to read some figure if its worth buying to read the rest. Oh so clever…. Get them hooked and reel them in. Now have so many books I want to check out if they are worth the buy. I know amused by the little things.
Hey I was on cloud9 when I found out the zoo sold beer. Guess they figured you need one after walking around all day with the kiddos screaming everywhere.We bought annual passes for the San Diego Zoo the kids loved it. They were dirt cheap! The husband even gets in Free. Figured for the kids a one day pass was one dollar cheaper for a year pass we better not pass that up.

Finally going to visit friends in Reno in a couple of weeks. The hub will be training in the middle of the woods for 3 weeks figured I needed to catch up on friends and family. Not sure if I mentioned it before but the hub leaves for Iraq in Dec for a year. If anyone wants to visit me during then… come keep me company!

Garden is dying I don’t know what to do! The eggplant seems like the only thing wanting to stay alive.Couldn’t pass up this giant coffee cup.

It’s official

No longer the Owner of the DC’s Roller derby league. The papers have been signed and in the process of change over. This is the best decision with me not being in the same state. For the people who know me know it’s been an eventful year and a half. My life has been consumed with derby, being just a skater in a new league has been a great experience. Well except the fractured wrist. I am able to relax in our new home and experience life, I have been missing.Did I tell you guys we live less then 5 minutes from the beach?! It’s even on base, bigger plus.As soon as the hand gets out of this cast will be building a plant stand. Already bought miniature white cucumbers. Thinking about doing a mini garden on our patio makes me all excited! This weekend going to visit the garden store on base to look for miniature tomatoes and herbs. Will keep you all posted.Finally got the knitting a go this morning, looks like it’s going to be a happy day!

I want to knit dish cloth’s for our new kitchen don’t think that was to much to ask. But having a hard time just casting on.:( Dyed this yarn before we left…maybe should teach the hub to cast on for me, ha!

one handed..

Typing with one hand isn’t the greatest thing:) I upgraded to a black shiny cast.

 

Will have this on for 10 days then xrays. Going to go buy a plastic bag from CVS to put over it so I can dye yarn. I’ll be honest I’m having withdrawls can’t wait to start again.

what the derby fairy gave me

Was wondering why my wrist was hurting this last week. The doc believes I have fractured my wrist. Monday have an appointment with Ortho, came to conclusion maybe God thought I needed a longer vacation from derby.

Why is it when I put food in front of you, you say you are full. After telling you it better be eaten you tell me your tummy hurts. I think my lil man changed bodies with his sister. She is at her Dad’s, but it seems he has gotten her attitude and excuses. Spent majority of the day winding up this yesterday.Dyed it before we moved, with busy packing left it on the table. Our dogs decided they wanted to wrap it around the couch. Haven’t came up with a name yet. Any ideas?
